Bit of advice wanted pretty please:

When applying front brake in feel like I have ABS in that it oscillates on
and off, is this a warped disk?

If so... bugger, if not, what else could it be?

    TIA, D

Sounds like the ABS fairies to me, when you're not looking they install ABS.
But be careful, some of the fairies are renegades and don't install it
    correctly.

Have it checked by someone who knows just to make sure.

    Warped disk. Definitly.

    I have the same problem.

  4. Could be a warped disc, or thicker section on the disc or even a patch
of rust - the rusty patch would clear after a couple of applications of
    the brake though.

Quite. The Wing was doing this last Wednesday and Thursday. My wallet
breathed a sigh of relief when it stopped doing it on Friday.

That is a lot of shite BTW.
I have ABS on the VFR and the on/off oscillation is hardly perceptible.
Things have come on a bit since the first ABS systems.

  18. Just keep using it. I bought a bike with a warped disc on the front and
just kept using it until the pads wore it even again :)
