My GT250 frame has gone for powder coating, and I've started work on the
forks, I've notice that when I have the lower leg in the vice and rotate
the other bit, it is slightly bent!!! one worse than the other, the
    movement is a bout 3mm and 2mm.

Now as the bike steered straight, is this something I should worry about, or
is this within any tolerances anywhere ( I see no test for this), and if the
bike has whacked something hard enough to slightly bend the tubes, would the
frame still be ok?? I couldn't see any cracks or stress marks and as I say
it did steer straight and didn't "drop in" on either turn.

It's a GT250, they all handled like a rollerblading pregnant hippo on
acid anyway. I wouldn't bother about getting the forks straightened,
    you won't notice the difference
