Some heartening news from the mra forum for a change.
Below is the letter in it's entirety.

    Subject: WIN FOR COMMON SENSE

MRA president Alex Money and Vice President Marcel Gomperts after
pursuing the unjust fines handed out to motorcyclists at the recent MRA
GP Run, have just been notified that 128 fines handed out to those
taking part in the run will be withdrawn. The fines that were withdrawn
are to all who were fined for speeds of between 4-10km over the limit.
It is a win for the MRA, common sense, Alex and I

Yes and they were also extremely lucky to escape with their lives and/or not harm innocent road users due to their reckless speeding
    above the limit.

    shame shame shame !
