"That'll be a deep base quatroformaggio with smoked sausage, ground
spicy beef, hold the avocado, easy on the anchovies you **** ... and
nine magnets if you please. And make it snappy Guiseppe, the bike's
    on a yellow line, OK."

Went to get a take away curry and fell asleep shortly after eating it...
then woke up again realising it was too late to go into town... I've
just woken up, but still feel tired.
    Jolly good.

Not you, Ginge, you know the one who springs to mind when you see Look
Left and Look Right written on the road and wonder what thick ****
    needs basic information like that.
The hangover isn't. However the walk to clear my head involved finding
an abandoned frame for a pedal go cart which is now a project. First
of all the frame needs spraying black to get rid of the pink and the
old British Telecom logos - goodness knows how long this has been
kicking around. The dodgy lads at the top of the street had it on the
road last week but it is now sans wheels and with knackered chains,
missing rear axle and the final drive sprocket. Anyone got a little
    engine they don't need?

What sort of braking power would it need if we stuck one of those
    CB250 engines in it? <Bwahahaha>

If only the french used sensible words like left and right that may be a
    good plan.

People are arriving here about 7 ish, eating and things. It won't be
too wild, most of them then have to be awake around 6:30..

I'm contemplating taking the SZR engine out before they arrive.

So have I, but the figure: 300m is a bit 'unusual' shall we say.

Puts me in mind of my holiday in Rhodes 3.5 years ago.

Our hotel was at the foot of a large hill and, towards the top of the hill,
a crag could be clearly seen. Even though I didn't have any climbing gear I
got interested in finding it and also getting to the very top of the hill
    for a good view.

The wife and I went for a wander, following the road that led up the hill.
The road levelled off before the top, but there was a track that seemed to
lead further up so we followed that.

A few hundred yards into this track there was a "No Photography" sign, which
seemed strange as there was nothing but trees.

We walked on a bit further and, next to the track, was a concrete wall just
erected on a patch of grass. The area where it was was totally silent, we
couldn't hear any noise from the road (perhaps half a mile behind us), but
there weren't any wildlife sounds either; no birds, no insects, nothing.

This wall was about 8 feet high and 15 feet across and it was covered, in a
grid, with extruding steel rods. Round the end of each rod was tied a
coloured ribbon. We looked at it for some time, but couldn't figure out
what the hell it was or why it was there.

We followed the track up and came to a 90 degree uphill right hand bend. We
walked around the corner and, about 300ft away, there was a pack of about 20
dogs. They weren't chained up, there were no people nearby, they were just
standing on the path and started barking like hell when we came round the
    corner.

I started to tell Lisa not to run, as dogs will naturally chase, but I
noticed Lisa was already sprinting down the road as fast as she could :) I
walked away and the dogs didn't chase or follow. In fact, the last I saw,
they hadn't moved from the spot they were on when we first saw them.

Obviously we didn't venture back up, but I do wonder what the hell was at
the top of that hill, what function the wall served and whether the dogs
were there by design rather than accident. All in all though it was a very
    spooky experience.

Point I'm trying to make is I've never heard of any data storage device of
    300m size. It's just 'wrong'
