A top tip.

    Don't keep a can of tyre weld under your seat.

    When the can eventually 'goes off' it'll fill the entire storage area
    with foam rubber.. And it'll get inside the alarm should you have
    one... and it'll set the alarm off.. and probably immobilise your bike
    for a while.

    It'll dry out overnight though, hopefully fully waterproofing that
    vulnerable datatool do-dah should anything that foolish ever happen
    again.

    Indeed. in the pannier, behind the CD changer is best, ime.
