    Exactly. 1928, my arse. What makes it even funnier, is that by 1928
    the modern (ok, old) British motorcycle was way beyond the "transition
    stage", having passed from leakfree bicycles to oil-shedding
    mechanical dripwagons without any input from the dastardly foreign
    competition.
