I was quietly pleased when Ze Chermans said they were going to impound
the fucking thing for being too loud.

Then the cunts backed down and I had to endure two more days of that
    shit at péage barriers.

You fool! You should have gone for a straight exchange: lifetime's use
of your Intellectual Copyright for the P.C.

Ah, as you were. Intellectual - that's a bit of a stopper, eh?

I dunno about yours but there were no baffles in mine at all. Just a bit
too loud - and the noise had been commented on quite frequently
Sorry, its going to be sold as a combined package with the Termis.
A pint, next time I see you.

It was a full on genuine Triumph accessory high level carbon race can,
it certainly wasn't road legal before or after I got it or at any time
in its life. It had a plate welded to the link pipe that said it was
for track use only and was loud as **** when I got it, and got even
louder after what little baffle wadding it left the factory with
started to exit the fucking huge exit hole at the back of it. The
original stainless road legal can had never been on the road because
Adie had the high level race can fitted at PDI before she collected the
bike from OYT, and it was given to Nige still in the same box it was
    given to me in.

Same race can it had when I got it. It looked like this through all the
time I had it and was pretty much the same when I sold it to Nige. The
original road legal silencer was never fitted by me.

It's a good job the noise nazis at Silverstone didn't think it was
particularly noisy when she did a track day there or it would have been
    a very short day.

I'm not really surprised because the build quality on that bike was
nowhere near the standard of the earlier 595.

I once started up my Bandit 1200 with the baffle-free carbon end
can[1] just near the trolley-park in Tesco @ Ponders End and a child
not only burst out crying, but actually fell over.

    Happy days.

[1] later broken by Mat Tab repeatedly wheelying the thing and
    "landing" it rather roughly.

Oh, it was loud. I could track the progress of that bike as it left the
house, for several minutes. It wasn't just loud though, it sounded
'orrible: once it had spat the wadding out, there was a foul hollow boom
    that came out of it.

I remember following you and Christofire along the bypass and up
Deadman's Hill - Chris's similar bike sounded nice, with that sort of
booming growl as he opened it up, but yours was just loud and
unpleasant. I started off wringing the Bandit's neck to stay with the
two of you, but decided to drop back a bit due to the sonic assault.

The carbon can I had on the 955 Sprint ST also fell apart after only a
year or so. In that case "fell apart" can be taken quite literally -
the entire outer casing just undid itself. It might have been possible
to bodge it together, but I didn't have time for it, and given that I
did have, unused, the original can it wasn't a big deal to replace it.

Annoyingly, even though it was dealer fitted (spec'd up by previous
intended buyer who changed his mind) , it wasn't covered by any
warranty. I could possibly have chased them on a 'no fit for purpose'
basis, but quite frankly I'd had enough warranty issues a;ready I just
    cba.

I kinda thought that when I saw it (in Adies ownership). The 595 was really
a very very nice motorbike. I happily own another (now that I know how to
    fix the misfire).

I was on that bike when Chris wrecked his 10r on the woodhead, i had to
follow the ambulance to the hospital & was a bit worried with the copper sat
in his car 6 feet away, when i started it up he glared at me...

I tried to coast down the hill a bit before i revved it :)

was it bollocks. a pleasant grumble. I have never heard anyone say it
    was loud.

try sitting behind Krustys MV and then come back and tell me it was
    loud.
