A reason to vote?

We had a leaflet through the door today, as if that's anything
    suprising.

It was an anti BNP leaflet.

After a fair amount of denigrating the BNP, they urged you to do
    something about it: vote.

It didn't seem ot matter who for, as long as it was not for the BNP.
Their logic seemed to be the more votes other parties got, the less
notice the BNP would get and the sillier they would look. a low
turnout would make their share of the vote look higher.

So, for those of you planning not to vote, does this sound like a valid
    reason?

Well "Duh! Yes"... But I worry about constituencies like the one I
(currently) live in where we have Labour, LibDem, Tory and fucking Kilroy
Silk... How many dopey fucks might vote for him again(!!) in this area is a
cause for concern and is seriously affecting the possibility of me voting
    LibDem as a conscience/protest vote.....

Excepting that the BNP are currently no worse than Labour and
Conservative in their respective failings IMHO
I discount LD completely while they have that mealy mouthed ginger
    headed fuckwit around.

Oh for a party worth the vote

Nice of you t say so.
Well, I know what I think, but wondered what the non-voters would say.
It's being put forward as a 'positive' move to negate something
    'negative'.

That's a perfectly good reason to vote. Neither may be plesant, but if
one's better than the other, surely that's the one to vote for.

Erewash. I'm assuming that he still plans to stand here. And I assume he
chose this constituency as it includes Ilkeston and parts of Derbyshire
where some braindead fuckwits tried to start up a UK branch of the Klan a
    few years back (yes, really).

I hardly think coating yourself in jelly and running naked down the road is
going to change the ruling party's perspective on government. It may
however cause a greater strain on the NHS mental unit.

Nope no BNP here. Although his does live up the road. Funny to watch
his party members getting hassle in the local village for being
foreigners when they came for a political meeting. They couldn't get
to grips with being insulted and being told to go back to where they
    came from :)
