In Yep we never sold many, two ISTR. The GPz1100-B1 as you say came out shortly afterwards. We had ours built and PDI'd from another of our branches delivered before opening time, and as soon as I got into work that day I HAD to take it for a "road test" ... got about 5 miles before it dawned on me that we had'nt actually put a number plate on it oops The B1 was OK but out of the GPz1100's I preferred the B2 or even the ZX versions. -- Steve Parry Kawasaki ZX12-R <due shortly> 07 K1200GT SE 95 BMW F650 87 Yamaha FS1 Sukida SK90PY 91 Kawasaki AR50 07 VW Passat SE Estate for comfort www.gwynfryn.co.uk
In I was in a dealership having my F650 MOT'd and they had a GS750 in the used bike lineup, what surprised me was how small it looked. It's funny how things change but I recall a GS750 looking a huge bike at the time, now it was dwarfed by the F650 single! My brother commented on the K100RS I gave him before he died just how small it looked next to the GSXR600 SRAD he'd had before. Perhaps at the rate bikes are getting bigger the Judge Dredd mobile will be more of a reality than fiction -- Steve Parry Kawasaki ZX12-R <due shortly> 07 K1200GT SE 95 BMW F650 87 Yamaha FS1 Sukida SK90PY 91 Kawasaki AR50 07 VW Passat SE Estate for comfort www.gwynfryn.co.uk
I once had a K100RS in fade-red paintwork. Top of the fuel tank faded to orange in the space of a year.
now that's one that could go into the list of classic 70s bikes (or was it 80s?) Provided you put Honda electrics on it, of course
It's a load of old wank. "A nice looking bike in a brutish sort of way." Yeah, right. It's a pig on steroids.
In Wrexham Kawasaki and then Woking Kawasaki, a short stint at Huddersfield Kawasaki and a stint at Deal Avenue. As an aside it's nice to see that the engine in this ZX12 I've just bought appears to have a direct line to the GPZ900 Called Bourne End and they advised me it has had 2 of its 3 recalls done, apparnetly there were recalls for a fuel pipe mod, a tyre valve mod and a tweak to the alternator wiring to stop oil creeping up it. Found a very useful website http://www.cornwallkawasaki.co.uk/shop/shop.php?cmd=listmodels&id=2 The have microfice online, and have the prices of the parts too. Some of the pics are a bit small but I used the microfiche viewer here http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/Module/Main/TypeID/26/Type/Motorcycle/MakeID/3/Make/Kawasaki to zoom in for the numbers etc. -- Steve Parry Kawasaki ZX12-R <here> 07 K1200GT SE 95 BMW F650 87 Yamaha FS1 Sukida SK90PY 91 Kawasaki AR50 07 VW Passat SE Estate for comfort www.gwynfryn.co.uk
Surely the online fiche application at http://www.buykawasaki.com (Owner Info->Parts Diagrams) works good enough, they cover almost everything sold in the last 30 years or so. For prices, stick the part numbers found there into cornwallkawasaki's site or any online dealer that lets you check prices using a part number. E.g., 18080-1052 Description: TURBOCHARGER-ASSY Punch that # (need to omit the dash, mind) into: http://www.cornwallkawasaki.co.uk/shop/shop.php?cmd=searchparts&newsearch=true And you get: 180801052 * NO LONGER AVAILABLE KAWASAKI GBP 2529.93 Hmmm. Trying Ron Ayers: http://www.ronayers.com/browseparts.cfm?searchstring=18080-1052 Parts found with Part Number: 18080-1052 Description TURBOCHARGER-ASSY Price $2,438.51 Rip-off Britain, indeed.

The Kawasaki site may not work with browsers other than Internet Explorer. It also may deduce you are in the UK and steer you away from the US version of the site (I just thought of this). ANywhoo. Assuming you have a US-based proxy[1], if needed: Start at http://www.buykawasaki.com On the LHS of the page, click on "Owner Info" A popup menu appears, choose "Parts Diagrams" A new page loads, select "Motorcycle" in the dropdown listbox next to "Search by Model Information", then click on the "continue" button. Chose model year 1984, CC = 750 (even though it was 738cc, so naturally you would choose 740, right?) then click on "continue" You will then have two 1984 Ninja 750R models to choose from, I clicked on the first link "click here to choose". This brings up a new screen saying "NIJA 750R", and has two sections, "Accessories & Gear" and "Vehicle Information". Under "Vehicle Information" click on "Parts Diagrams". Now you should see links for ZX750A2 (49-State Spec (US)) ZX750A2L (California Spec (CA), ZX750E1 (49-State Spec), and ZX750E1L (California Spec (CA)). I presume you want 49-State spec (fewer emissions gubbins). When you click on one of those links it will try to open a popup window which is the actual fiche stuff. HTH [1] I would be happy to function as your human proxy if you need some[2] particular parts looked up... [2] A few

IIRC they weren't sold here under the Ninja moniker, either! That must be a website cockup. At the time I remember seeing them sold as the "GPz750 Turbo", no mention of Ninja, a 1984 Ninja 750 was deffo the water cooled model. In 1983 I had a Uni-Trak GPz550 and lusted mightily after the GPz750 Turbo.
In Me too except I had the GPz750-A2 .. a friend had the E1 and on the occasion I had a go it was great fun -- Steve Parry Kawasaki ZX12-R <here> 07 K1200GT SE 95 BMW F650 87 Yamaha FS1 Sukida SK90PY 91 Kawasaki AR50 07 VW Passat SE Estate for comfort www.gwynfryn.co.uk
In a fit of stupidity I sold the GPz550 and bought a KZ750E2, which was a fine bike but never spoke to me quite the way the little GPz did. I found the 750 for sale years later and blagged a go on it, and was surprised at how decent it still was after 15 years in unknown hands. Somehow it had fewer miles on the clocks than when I sold it, but the seller swore up and down it was the genuine mileage and it hadn't turned over 100k. Hmmm.

I had a CJ250 once. although I never actually put it on the road. I also had a CB100N, which was cheap and suitable for taking the test on, and had no other virtues that I could determine. Naturally, the day I went for the test, the sod refused to idle reliably.
