Indeed. A beautiful machined dural billet would have been more
photogenic. St Phil must be turning...

Well I've decided my RS isn't going back to Holywood. Have it in Leeds just
now. I'll call and book it in with Cray over the next few days. I have the
larger carbs and a 2:1 header. He can do the rest.

    It's going to be nice.

Advanced notice to Beav. I want a factory paint job. Black with silver
    coach lining.

I'd *really* like a 6 gallon aluminium tank.... Need to find some nice
    rearsets also.

I never really felt that those bikes needed rearsets.

A little back, just where the swinging arm pivots. Matches the Jota bars it
    will wear.

Had one after my Z1-R, the same as this
    http://www.gwynfryn.co.uk/images/album01/mk2.jpg

    I'd also love another Z1-R
Also had a fancy for an 1100 Katana and a GS1000S too

Ok she is booked in 13th June.

1070 big bore and rod kit with cam. Needs the lite pistons and better rods
to put the revs up a thousand.
    Full balance.
    Big carbs.
    Flowed and reshaped heads.
    2:1 silencer prob with Supertrap.
Cray spec gearbox rebuild with higher top gear.

    Happy Days.

Can I also register a CIHAGM interest please?

I just dug out a very poor snap of my R90/6. This was, as you can see,
during the 'top box' era. Beemers just have to be black IMO.

Lovely. For me, the MkII was always the best looking of the big
    air-cooled Kwacks.
Hmmm. The Katana is 80s, so I excluded it from this list. The GS1000
was a good bike, but doesn't have anything that'd make me want to have
    one.

Always had a soft spot for the black n gold EFI version, Z1000-H1 ISTR,
which seem to be very rare nowadays.

I never really liked any of them (never 'did it' for me) but the early
    ones were the prettiest.

I had a GS1000. POS. No surprise there then.
