Why would you want to **** up their attempt to give money to the
    Anthony Nolan Trust?

That's very grown up of you. I think the idea is to click once. If
you want to donate more money then you will probably be able to do it
    with a bank account.

No attempt at fucking it up. It was a comment. Or can't you see it as
    that?

I just read the subject line. I'm sure it said "a quick way for easy
jet to go bust". That leads me to assume that you think clicking the
link continuously would cause them financial problems. All it would do
is cause them to stop it and thus deprive a worthwhile charity of
    money.

    I'll go and shoot myself.

I'm sure they'll have put a rule in that ensures they only donate once
    per IP address.

    Why do you think that?

Don't you think it might be a bit limiting though? Seeing as there may
be hundreds or thousands of hidden IP addresses behind one public IP
    address?

IIRC Steve believes anything more than a single click is bad interface
    design..

SteveH () gurgled happily, sounding much like they
    were saying :
That'd be a bugger, since my IP shows up as being that of one of NTL's
    regional transparent proxies.

In this case they might have, because that would indeed cost them much
    less money.

The reason being that many many people are behind hidden IP addresses -
ie everyone has the same one apparently.

Anyway, it's EasyJet - it's not like they're actually going to what
    they say.

  17. Unlikely in these days of massive use of NAT[1]. More likely is that they
have a payment ceiling that they won't go past and any clicks after
    that will be ignored.

    Phil.

[1] For example - anything coming out of our network will look like
it's coming from our fireall external address. If you have a Demon
Internet NAT connection anything you generate will look like it comes
from Demon itself.. etc etc etc
