Wouldn't that invalidate his application for the Largest Mountain From
    Smallest Molehill competition?

Not quite. Major fettling to be done this weekend which will leave a
side, indicator and mirror to affix then it's good to go.

I like 'em. There's loads of tread on, so they'll last pretty well.
I've not really counted the miles, and it's been a while since I've
    ridden the bike properly though.

I do remember never really thinking about the tyres, so I see that as a
good thing (i.e. I'm not riding along doubting their capability).

If you've got a few weeks ask me at BOSM and I'll tell you then. I
can't remember much about it as it's been so long. I'll have a look at
the tyres tonight when I rotate the wheels and see how far I've gone
and how much tread is left.
    "brum".

This was the case. There were about three spots for a sensible
overtake. At the first one I signalled early and Monz didn't block me
in. I overtook, Monz didn't. It was a combination of me being lucky
with overtake chances, me not doing the usual 30mph around the twisty
road[1] and Monz not going for daft/dangerous overtakes.

I've no doubt that "balls to the wind" he would've got past and been
    waiting at the end.

[1] "having the **** caned out of it" is a little harsh.
