Tiny pits in surface of fork tubes - hopefully won't feck up the seals on the 5 mile run to the MOT station tomorrow morning. Put 225cc of 15wt oil in each leg - got nowhere near that much out. It says 10wt in the manual - it won't make too much difference, will it? I think it's a bit early for smug. It's done 123 miles in the 29 months I've owned it, including around 40 in trips to the MOT station. It's by far the most demanding bike I've ever ridden: it will not go, at all, in the wrong gear, the brakes are mere ornaments, and the handling, though improved with fork oil in the forks is still shocking. Oh, and it used just over a gallon of unleaded in the two trips to Bethnal Green and back. About 20 miles. But it always puts a smile on my face. When it starts. It needed a push to get away from the MOT station this morning, which was a touch embarrassing. Now to take the Blackbird in for its 16k service. Then off to Scotland on the Wing on Monday.
