A new V-twin engine

I would like to see a new V-Twin engine that is not the ridiculous
Harley Davidson and does not interchange parts with that overpriced,
    underengineered mongrel.

It should have a one piece crank, and be a lot narrower-either put the
cam in the vee, use a cam ring like a radial, or be OHC.

Isn't there a ton of them sitting in the Japanese clones,
like Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, and Kawasaki. Not to
mention other manufacturers like Victory. What's wrong
    with these? Isn't the Vrod even a v-twin, I can't recall.

Most of the Japanese ones are examples of "comic book illustrator
engineering" and mechanical abortions. The Yama 90 degree aircooled
engine and the liquid cooled Guzzi-alike Honda built are the only ones
remotely "honest". I agree the Victory is a little better but it still
    is function-follows-form to a degree.

What kind of motorcycle do you have right now, Ronnie?

We can give advice on *fixing* almost anything ever produced, but we
can't put wheels on miscarriages, such as your request for all all new
V-twin engine that meets *your* personal styling criteria.

No matter how much Usenet denizens flail at their keyboards, you ain't
gonna get that new V-twin engine out of it.

    BTW, are you Nomen Nescio?
