I quite like the angle and shape of the seat but that swingarm cover and
rear wheel thing would have to go.

What I need is one of those BMW style "mudguards" that go on the back
wheel to stop road filth flinging up and over.

    Something similar to this:

I've got a hugger on my rear wheel, I've no idea how the mud and misc.
road shit manages to get EVERYWHERE around it too. Perhaps it's
    magic?

Hugger's don't "start" early enough, I mean they don't come far enough
down the back wheel. They're ok for bikes with a back end because all
the crud gets thrown up underneath the bike. I need something like a
6"x4" bit of plastic at about a 10 o'clock position on the rear wheel.
Actaully, it doesn't even need to be that big, just small enough to stop
    the spray.

I tried a but down for sale board as an extension of the number plate
but this plan flops out when bumps are encountered and it gets pulled
underneath the bike when it catches the tyre.

What, and get shunned by the "biking" fraternity?

    You may have a point.

I remember stopping off at some services on the M25 a while back and
there was some "VN" type owners club turning up, looked ok as it goes.
