I've managed to strip a bike pretty thoroughly within a day of buying
    it.

The K75 is on my bike lift in my garage with it's arse suspended in the
air and its gearbox, clutch and clutch bellhousing removed (basically
everything from the rear wheel forward until you hit the engine- BMW Ks
    have seperate engines/gearboxes)

The strip went pretty well, only came across a couple of awkward
fastners (allen keys had previously knackered the fastners; drive in a
    'star' bit, almost never fails).

The clutch slipping problem seems to be oil in the dry clutch. I
*think* it came from the engine but can't be 100% certain. I'll replace
the engine and gearbox oil seals to be on the safe side. Not opened a K
gearbox before so it'll be something new to look forward to.

With a little luck it'll be finished by this time next week; sooner if I
take a day off work... assuming I can get all of the parts.

One thing's clear, it's a lot bloody easier doing this kind of job with
a bike lift and the ability to suspend a frame from a steel beam.
    Experience helps too...

I've got a spare K75S (1987, 20K mile) gearbox if you need one. Innards
are good but I snapped the lug for the clutch lever. Free to a good home
if you get stuck with pingfuckits.
