A lonely death

    Motorcyclist's body found in dense forest


    Police say the body of a motorcyclist has been found in the Barrington Tops
    National Park in the Hunter region.

    The 62-year-old Wallsend man had been camping in the district during the
    past week.

    Police believe he died after falling from his bike while riding in dense
    rainforest.

    The search for the man was triggered after his family contacted police last
    night expressing concern that he had not been in touch.

    A report will be prepared for the coroner.
