I was really bummed to hear this. As a kid I remember listening to (and
memorizing) the Class Clown routines. My wife always wondered where I
got the finger up the nose gag from. She saw it on the cover of the CC
album when GMA was talking about his career.

I can thanks George Carlin as one of the many people who helped me open
    my mind as a kid.

He was one of my all time favorites. I laughed the way George Carlin
talked out of the side of his mouth. He had such great timing, and great
use of facial and body language. He was a goodun.

================remember when he said...''officer, you cannot arreast
my buddy, because you said he is legally drunk.so then, he's not
    illegally drunk.''
I loved his play on words, and everyday stuff. You know he didnt
believe in God, and he didnt believe in voting. In fact he didnt
believe in very many laws. He thought most laws were irrevelant.

Gee, sure glad I'm not the only that thinks he wasn't no icon. Wonder what
he'd like to tell people now?

You may not have liked him and I respect that... but he did a lot for
    the 1st amendment.

"So my name is a footnote in American legal history, which I'm
perversely kind of proud of," he told the APs earlier this year.

I guess some people just didn't get his humor. Some people don't
think Bill Cosby is funny either, and his routine is "squeaky clean".

Don, if George Carlin read what you just posted, he's laughing his a**
    off.
    That was funny! :))
Thanks for guffaw. I needed that.

Personally, I think they are/were all funny, in their own way. Even
ol' "I don't get no respect" Rodney Dangerfield was funny...
sometimes. Even you are funny... sometimes. ;)
Buzz! You _can't_ say that word on "Network" TV. Only on some non
    network/cable TV Shows.
And he evidently had some kind of impact on you. You're able to type
the "F" word in your posts, without getting censored.
    Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

"Funny" is relative. Take for example, you ride up to a stop light
and when the light turns green, instead of riding on, you promptly
fall over. Those behind you are going to have mixed feelings. Some
are going to immediately laugh their asses off at your stupidity,
while some are going to be very concerned for your safety. Thus,
    "funny" is "relative".
Personally, I'm going to be very concerned about you, then after I
find out you are alright, I'll laugh my ass off. :)

That's why I doubt if he's RIP! He was just so obnoxious!! People like him
are what's wrong with the world today. I wish it was like in the 50's or
earlier on TV or movies. They all slept in twin beds. That's why I love the
old classic movies. The filth in the modern junk is why the youth has gotten
so bad the past 10 years. Oh, don't get me started....
I remember a time when sex was something sacred, now they don't even say
spouse..........it's all about sex......partners. What's happened to our
morals in this country. Blame it on Bush!!!!!!!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL
