A Harley thumper?

    OK, I suppose, if you addressed the balance issue. It's basically what
    was done to create the Buell Blast engine. Take one of the jugs off a
    61 inch Sportster engine and voila, you have a 500cc thumper.

    As a thought experiment, I wonder how well a Harley V-twin motor would
    run as a thumper if I removed the rear piston and con rod, replacing
    the cylinder with a metal plate.

    It wouldn't run as well as the *Suzuki* thumper you already have.

    So why don't you get your motor runnin', get out on the highway,
    lookin' fer adventure, or whatever comes your way, instead of hanging
    out in the trailer

    It's been done. Works quiet well...though most are built as choppers.
