A Harley Davidson moment

  1. The darnedest thing happened Saturday. We were on the way to the Pearsall
ranch from the Brazoria County ranch. We got behind a group of about 10
Harleys of various nomenclature. All of a sudden I saw something flash in
the sky. It was as bright as star at night. It looked like it was coming
right down at us and I thought it was going to go through the windshield.
Well it didn't. It landed in the back of the truck. I pulled into Bucees in
Eagle Lake and jumped in the back and there it was. A real flying saucer.
Well, it looked like a small flying saucer. But I guess it is, for lack of
better word, a hub cap. It is about 3 inches in diameter, chrome with a gold
eagle and black lettering saying Live to Ride, ride to live, Harley
    Davidson.

If anyone is missing such a piece of equipment, they can retrieve it at the
Bucees in Eagle Lake. First come, first serve I guess. I accept no
    responsibility for who gets it.

That "saucer", disk, emblem, et al, is an after market bling doodad that
affixes to the air cleaner cover on the right side of the HD engine.

Not sure how the attachment is done, probably just a peel off sticky.

It's an easily replaced item, but I'm sure the owner would happily
accept the return. No idea of the trinket's cost.
