A good time to bury bad news?

  1. Next week there is to start an investigation into the death of Dodi
Fayed. This is being done by Surrey coroner Michael Burgess, who is also
responsible for investigating suspicious royal deaths. Which means Di's
death will also by implication be investigated.

The papers are going to be full of it.

This is a total turn around for the government who have up to now
rigorously opposed this. What's happening next week that the government
    want to hide?

It's nothing to do with the Govmint. Daddy lives within the area of the
Surrey coroner and is entitled to request. No doubt he was able to pay
enough to make sure it was granted.

  3. But why choose that particular coroner, he's not Surrey's only one.
But every request made over the last 6 years by Mohammed al Fayed for a
public inquiry has been turned down, he's been constantly campaigning
    for it.
The reasons for refusal have been many including the Government pleading
that national security would be compromised.

  4. Six years ago!! God I feel old. We were on holiday in Poland, some
yanks told us, we thought they were taking the piss. I think the
phrase was "Hey, didya know, Di's died" I mean, it didn't *sound* like
they were later going to try and feel up my boyfriend, they seemed
    such nice blokes...

Duh...this *is not* a Public Enquiry. It's a coroners inquest.

Power Grainger fascinated us all by saying...
You should have taken Will, he'd have loved it.

  8. Yes and what will it turn into even if only unofficially?
