No, I'll pay it. They carted me off, X rayed me, and made sure I was
ok. I've no issue with that.

However I'm actually thinking about sending them a letter asking if they
can offer me an English translation or at least a covering letter I
    could understand...

Why? Well, when I forwarded them the E111 I replied in English with a
best attempt babelfish translation to French below. It's only courtesy
    they do the same.

   )

  3. Wait til your bank's open and just buy a euro draft. Poisonally, I'd
just send a sterling cheque and stuff 'em.

    40 Euros, that is.

Someone just informed me € is coming out as a string of numbers.... it's
a Euro symbol for those of you not running modern day operating systems.

If it were thousands of Euros they could **** off, Xrays aren't all that
    expensive, especially ones of me.

"I've just been run over by_Damon HILL_!"

If my scanner was working I would. I've got the grasp of what it's
asking and where to send the payment anyhow.

Hang on, you were there translating it all, without my permission to
    agree to anything...

So the verbal contract is with you.

    I suggest they sue.

I asked at the bank and apparently the only way to do it is to get a
euro draft made up, which I have ordered for the non too economical sum
    of £10.

    I don't like banks.)

You didn't consider asking someone with a euro account to pay it for
you and repay the sterling into their UK account, then?
