    I wasn't. He's a skinhead wearing a hoodie & chunky jewelery. That's
about as chav as it gets.
Bit keen to make it clear that you aren't the style sheep aren't you?

  3. I *think* the shift pattern is one up and then two down, actually. This
    might be your problem.

Still. You are being ignorant... or snobbish, and that was my only
    point.

No, I was making an accurate observation in a light-hearted way. It was
probably the mildest of insults you'll ever see on UKRM, so if that
gets your back up, prepare to do a lot of mouth-foaming if you hang
    around.

    nothing got my back up.
I was making an observation in a light-hearted way that you were being
ignorant and snobbish.... but I knew you weren't being malicious so I
didn't get snotty ("I won't hold it against you")

just thought I'd report that my monkey bike ST70 now starts FIRST KICK
every morning. How cool is that?

Still doesn't get above 30mph which bothers me.
Not sure what to try now.
But thanks to you all for your help. I appreciate your time/efforts :)

  11. Check what sprockets are on it if you have a book or find another one
    for comparison.

  12. That's good.
I'd check the air filter. If that's clogged or non-existent....

Well, the only thing left is to try a replacement carb.
