Well, despite all the encouragement provided I went into the Harley dealer
to sign the check and walked out with a 2006 Road King Police Cruiser.

It has only 7500 miles on it, runs like a champ, feels "tighter" than the
2002 RKC and fools the crap out of everyone. It still has the police
paint. Since my last high-impact encounter with the ground I've decided
to wear a helmet... which, BTW just happens to be a bright white half
    shell.

There some room for improvement performance wise but I did find myself
    doing 80+ on it.

I'll post pictures in alt.binaries.pictures.motorcycles.harley within the
    next couple days.

Was the pool going for me getting another one or waiting on the repair?

You made a good point about waiting for the repair and when it gets cooler
and the other one sure was smooth but I was going nuts not riding (and
taking my wife with me - she said "yes, get another one NOW").

Not really going one way or the other, we were just talking about
    it....

    Congrats on the new ride!

It'll be time to hit Twin Peaks tomorrow....you up to it? Meet @ MSF
    Course in the morning?

I can do that. One question - where's the MSF course? I haven't spent
much time on the rightside of the metromess.

I put some pics up of the new ride...

    Hot looking bike!

The MSF course is at Town East Mall parking lot on the far east (not
Asian) side. If you get to the mall and go toward JC Penney, you can't
miss it if you look at the far end parking lot. I'll be there about
10am and TP opens at 11am. They (MSFers) usually break up at 11:30 or
    so.

BTW, did you get the pictures developed from the last ride? Did they
survive the 15 flips and the pothole?

    See ya in the morning?

Thanks (about Bike). The more I look at it and tinker with it the more I
like it. Like I said on the web page it "feels" a lot tighter - a
definate difference from the FLHR. It will take me a few rides to get use
    to the feel.

Are you taking the advanced course or just laughing at newbies? I'll
plan on taking off in that direction around 10ish which should put me over
    there around 10:45-11:00.

Yes, the camera and the pic survived. I have the pics staged and ready -
I just have to put the page up. If yu want to see them sooner I can burn
them to CD and bring them with me tomorrow. They're all in .jpg format.

I sure like the mag wheels better. If you get a puncture,
you'll like them a lot better also.

Congrats on the new (to you) ride.. Sometimes it is real hard to walk
through those dealerships without doing a "deal".. Most of the time
I just kinda squint real hard, focus on the parts dept. and stay the hell
out of the motorcycle display areas.. LOL.. Enjoy.
