  2. The mouse will be falling at the same rate as the elefhant, because it will
have grabbed the eleppant's tale and hauled itself up close and personal in
order to shag the living daylights out of the eleffant...

E: (sensing the approach of ground zero) <trumpetting noise>
M: "Oh yeah! Take it, bitch!"

At any rate, the point was not how fast it accelerated, but how heavy it is.

  3. Sounds like hard work. I reckon I'll just chuck the bike around a bit.
I could dent it in a bit with a big hammer, but that would affect the range.

    I borrowed a Trophy-12 for 24 hrs....
I didn't like it. The motor seemed to be very powerful, but it kinda
felt like the frame/chassis coudn't cope with it all...
One felt one was really haulling up a weight on the brakes...
I can see that with such torquey power you could have some fun, but
the frame seems too bendy to really be able to pump it up...
Perhaps I didn't tune in enough to the bike, each has a best modus
operandi (however it's spelt) I wish you luck, no doubt you will
entertain us with as many heiroics as you gave us with the Drifter...

    PS: Toffee-12? ;-)

I think part of the problem is that the weight is carried relatively high.
I was riding around in the rain at lunchtime today, in traffic, mostly under
40mph, and the frame seemed to cope okay.
Are you suggesting I can't ride?

    This year, nothing so far.
Last year, punted into a fence in France by a French motorist.
Year before, Frasers' loan bike (GSX750), bike landed on knee, bit of
    rag-dolling down the road.
Year before that, off the Drifter twice: first, trivial - pulled the bike
out of the hedge and went off to the pub, second, broken collarbone but it
    didn't hurt much.
Year before that, I think I may have fallen off the Suzuki - I vaguely
recall strolling into work wearing a divot.
Year before, punted off the SilverWing on the M32, woke up in the gutter
    with a dislocated thumb.

Shit happens. What have you been up to?
