    And I didn't pay that.
Wheras BMW seem to like to keep their prices as near as they can...
    :)

It's still gay though isn't it? What does that make the 650 version - a
    girl's bike that's gay?

I've got a RAM mount on mine, seems to isolate the GPS unit from the
    vibes very well.

dwb emerged from their own little world to say
Unscrew the end of the male plug on your GPS. There should be a fuse
inside. Fit a slightly higher rated one in the Maplins lead.

Twas slightly tongue in cheek - I've used a RAM mount for ages. It does
indeed isolate the vibes fairly well.

I've found a bit of silicon sealant also helps.

  8. The Older Gentleman has brought this to us :
No, they are actually rated in both voltage and current.

They will have a maximum voltage which they are capable of breaking,
plus current which they can continously pass without rupturing.

Normally (if of the glass type) they will be rated 250v, plus whatever
    current rating.

    Heh.. ok.

I'm trying to find a ball end so I can mount the GPS on my FZR easier,
as the suction cup doesn't fit on the tank very well. The only thing is,
that I don't know exactly where I'm going to mount the ball end, so I'd
like to get a look at it before I buy.

Anyone know any places round Brighton I could pick up such a thing?

Used to live on the SV, then the GSX-R, now I want to put it on the
    How the **** would I know !!!
If you have then you've got a problem if your current GPS shakes to pieces.
Maybe a water/gel based mount or a smoother bike would be a better idea.
    or maybe a scooter.

The ones on the slam door electric (750v) trains are similar to a
household plug fuse but are about 8" long and 1" dia and rated at 15A or
    35A.

  17. What ever voltage you decide you want, these people have all the power
stuff you can think of, then some more besides.
