    Bloke I work for has a truly immaculate,99T, 9000 mile, yellow, GSX-F 600.

He wants to sell it to me.

I almost want to buy it, but my rule of life is "never buy anything unless
    it's damn cheap".

    So, what's it worth?

Ah, that figures.. Probably explains the 9000 miles an all.

Good thing to start riding on though? I've ridden plenty of bikes over the
years, but I'm crap on 'em.. never used one as actual day to day transport,
just pissed about on CAHIGM moments. Had a scooter in Greece though.

Was thinking "do full access course thingy, ride bike for a while, sell
bike, hopefully get some money spent on access course thing back"

It was a bag of shit new - buy something decent like a Hornet, Fazer or
SV650. At least they handle reasonably well.

If I had a 500SEL & Alfa 164 in the garage I would not want to park a pikey
    teapot next to them.

Right then, he's not getting my £2500.

Judging by the responces, I'd be better off with an iR1.

  13. The only way to make them interesting is to shoehorn a GSXR1100 lump
into it. The interesting factor is finding the brakes/suspension aren't
    up to it.

  15. Very little. Nobody wants them. There's not much wrong with them, apart
from the cheap build quality, but they lack the fun of the Bandit 600
and the SV650, so why buy one?

Put it this way: to sell, it's going to have to be under £2000 unless he
finds an ignorant imbecile who thinks he's getting 90% of a CBR600 for
    two-thirds the dosh.

If it were priced around 1700, it would be worth snapping up as a cheapo
    commuter/tourer.

Cheers Tog. I'll stick to my original plan of Cagiva Raptor thing then.

Well, I will eventually, the Merc is doing a mighty fine job of being a
    wallet vampire for now..
