I recently acquired an 82 Honda Magna. The only thing wrong
with it was that the turn signals didn't work. After doing
basic troubleshooting I determined the flasher was bad. After
$47 and a special order, the flasher arrived. While it was a
boxy plastic unit and the original was round with a metal
casing, the connector matched. I plugged it in and the right
signal flashed....switching to the left, the headlight, instrument
panel and rear light flashed...with nothing from the left signals
themselves...well, the front left light turned off.

Could this be from the flasher or am I gonna have to dig into
    the wiring?

    Thanks

I think I remember something about a loose wire somewhere else that
caused the voltage to get re-routed through the blinker circuit -
probably on sabmag.org or this newsgroup... a loose ground?

Google every combination of that you can find and just MAYBE you'll
    trip over it.

    Good luck,

Thanks for all the tips. The Honda svc manager seems to think it
is a ground issue also. I checked the two under the tank, cleaned
them and still the same thing. The Clymer shows those as the only
ground points (on their schematic). Any other ground locations I
    missing?
