Have you go the stock mirrors on yours TOG? Maybe its because i'm a
shortarse but mine are next to useless , and i'm wondering if anything
    better will fit?

You can buy "extenders" for the mirrors that bolt between
the fairing and the mirror to push it out slightly. They were
being sold by Tony Brancato but in my only dealing with him
he was an absolute cock, so wouldn't personally give him my
    own hard earned.

Other than that, just measure the distance between mountings
and buy something suitable from any of the spares places (M&P,
Busters, MPS, DemonTweeks, etc) or ebay.

Just be careful as the bolts tend to seize in them and the
cages of the captive nuts are weak, so you just end up
spinning the nut on the fairing mount where it's virtually
impossible to get in to grip it. I think I had to drill
out at least half of them!

As Ant says, they're pretty crap, but there are loads of alternatives
about. Someone told me that Halfords do a pair of pettern car mirrors
    that juct bolt on.

I *think* that the originals are exactly the same as OEM
just about, so doubt they'd offer better vision:

I read somewhere that CBR600 mirrors bolt straight on?

You should be able to buy them direct from Brancato (google
for it) but as I said, in my limited dealing with him that
could have put a few grand his way (the amount I've spent
on my 600/674/620 SS hybrid and associates!) he was a complete
and utter cock so I went elsewhere.

Is that Brancato as in 'Tony Brancato'?

'cos I was planning to let him loose on my 900SSD. Oh well, better check
if Mdina Italia works on them as well. After all, I've already spent a
    not inconsiderable sum there.

    Yes.

YMMV, and a lot of the DSC guys love him, but my experience
was one of complete and utter failure to be business like
in any way, shape or form.

It started off with trying to buy race fairings for the SS -
which at the time he was the only place in the UK that was
making them - and taking orders without actually being able
to (a) fulfill and (b) give even an estimate of when they
would be ready except "when they're done". He then got shouty
on the phone with me when I kept enquiring as to when they
would be ready as time was pressing, and after nearly two
months I gave up and bought a set from Germany that arrived
in three days at roughly 1/5th of the price. He then got
shouty on the phone when I cancelled the order and threatened
to take the money anyway (nice!) at which point I reminded
him about unauthorised transactions and chargebacks which
seemed to ring a bell for him, and he slammed the phone
    down on me.

This (apparently) became par for the course with a lot of
the SS racers who eventually all used the German supplier
(who now sells on ebay) and he then got really pissed off
with us all for not handing over our money to him.

He seems to run his business more like a hobby which is
fine if that's what you want, but "when it's done" doesn't
really cut it for me. I'm sure he knows his onions but
then there are a lot of other guys out there who do as
well - DOCGB would be your best place if you want to
ask around, or I can put you in touch with one of the
guys I know who has currently 21 Ducatis from through
the years (mostly old shite) that would have good contacts.

Oh great, sounds like exactly the kind of person I absolutely *loathe*
    to do business with.

That would be much appreciated - there are certain jobs on the SS that I
won't touch (valves for example, and it needs new swingarm bearings) and
I'd really need someone who understands these things to do the
work. 'cos I can **** up the jobs myself without any outside help.
