72' CB750: OEM Ignition vs. Aftermarket (e.g. Dyna)

    Hi,

    Restoring bike, don't know if there is a reason or benefit for using a
    Honda OEM ignition coil or if a Dyna aftermarket is really just as good?
    Anyone have any input on this both from a functional perspective and a show
    bike point of view.

    Dyna just as good? No, BETTER. '72 CB750 has points, IIRC, where Dyna
    is electronic; set and forget . . . .

    Easy choice, electrically -- electronic is superior to points in all
    ways. If anyone's looking inside for originality, the Dyna will be all
    wrong . . . .
