    1975 Honda CB125S.
I fixed the headlamp burnout problem with a shunt regulator.
I've been running a tail lamp in the headlght reflector, cause
I don't ride it at night anyway.
I'd like to sell the bike, so need to do something about the
    headlight.
Before I plunk down $35, ouch, for a headlight, is there
an aftermarket halogen system that would give more light?
6V 25/35W is the rating on the stock Stanley?
Or maybe I could cobble a halogen bulb into the Stanley
    housing?
    Anybody got experience here?
    Thanks, mike

I'd say that unless there's either
    a) a drop-in solution that's well-known and tested,
    or
    b) an expectation that improved lighting will get you more money/sell
    the bike faster,

just use the stock lamp. Dropping extra money or significant time on
this sort of project is great for something that you're hanging onto,
but it doesn't make much sense for something that you're going to sell.

That said, I'd contact a commercial lighting supplier about 6V halogen
solutions. You'll have to either bring the lamp in or know how to
describe it to them (there are standard terms for the base type,
envelope type, etc.). Around here, the company to go to is Kirby Risk,
but that doesn't help much unless you live in Indiana, USA. ;-)
    Good luck with it.

'indiana' is a 'nolnn' and 'hoosier' is a 'solkk'. Indiana doesn't solkk.
