    An appeal for help here.

My old man and his mates were lent 6 Honda SS50's to take part in the ACU
National Rally back in the 60's. Now I know that the SS50 had only just
been introduced when he took part so I'm guessing it's either the '67 or '68
rally. He once told me that a picture of the 6 of them slip streaming each
other down a hill got into one of the national bike magazines. I'd like to
try and get a copy of this magazine as a surprise for him. Probably an
impossible task but I'm currently off work with a broken back (don't ask!)
so need to do something to pass the time!

I need answers to a couple of questions to proceed with my hunt and Dad is
my only source of information on biking 'back then'. If I ask him any
questions he'll work out what I'm upto as he's a cunning old chap! So I was
hoping I might find some help on this newsgroup.

If you can I'd greatly appreciate answers to the following questions please:

What were the monthly magazines in '67 and '68?
When were the National Rallies held in those years?

I have had a look on the internet but can't find out.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Paul.

PS. They got gold stars for their effort (not the bikes though just the
    badges)
