Well...Here I go to brave the cold to get my 600 mile service done. Just got
off the phone with Honda and they told me to bring it in and they will do it
while I wait. Louie is going to head to Grapevine Kawasaki to pick his up
also. I figured if he can do it..what the hell...I am out there. Its only 27
degrees at the moment and it says it feels like 16. I think it will be a
    nice ride.

<chuckle> I'll leave that Green Vulcan wrapped up and parked on the
    Mexican's
patio until the temps rise some.. These Noobies can have all this sub
    freezing
road they want.. I'm sticking by the fire till it warms up.. LOL

Service went real fast. They checked my bike over and gave it a A+...I rode
down to Kawasaki and met Louie. We stood around and chatted with the guys at
the dealership for a while and then headed to Louies house to install all
those chrome parts I bought. We stopped at Furrs and had lunch. Louie fixed
a wood burning stove in one of his garages so we would be warm. We ended up
opening a door because it was getting to hot in there. I got all my chrome
goodies installed and they look sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Thanks Louie for
your help and use of your garage.

Besides doing the look'n upgrades to the Silver/Goldwing We installed a
couple of functional items on the Voyager. Fork protectors, and Baker Air
Wings. Afterwards we took a quick run down the Interstate and cut back East
through to Mansfield. From there RedShad tried a new route to Arlington and
I turned back North up to Ft Worth and West to my place. I wanted to hit the
winds from all directions to test the Baker's and so far they seem to be an
improvement. I didn't get the wind from around the sides that I sometimes
get. The fork protectors, I don't know yet, no bugs out at 33degrees and we
stayed off the gravel road this time.
Next I think we should get some standard cold weather riding gear. With all
the stuff we put on to keep warm we look like a couple of Goodwill
    drop-offs.

One thing is for sure.. you and the Redshad are some kind of tough hombres..
Anyone who is willingly mounting motorcycles in these kinds of temperatures,
deserve the respect of anyone who even likes motorcycles.. I've gotta say
    that
I've been caught on the road in colder temps, but I would not assume to jump
out there without there being some kind of spontaneous emergency..

Whew.. yesterday was bitterly cold and it was bone chilling to just move
    around
outside.. My hat's off to both of you guys.. that's what I call dedication
    or indiff-
erence to pain.. Either way.. I'm convinced that you guys are tuff enough..

    Regards

Damnit man..The Green One is going to feel neglected and mistreated. I hope
it dont lay down on you when you finally decide to give it some attention.
Poor ole Green One is probably screaming to hit the road.

ROTFL.. I fully expect to have some problems with that ol'Green Vulcan, when
    I
finally unwrap that sucker to hit the road.. Meantime, while these temps are
    down
in the teens like they are.. I'll be leaving my part of the road to you tuff
    guys, while
I stay close to the fire.. Ya'll have fun out there, you hear.. lol

That's absolutely right. Maybe they can start an enduran-
ce run event in the shadow of the Iron Butt. We'll call it
    the Cold Butt.

LOL.. Well.. sounds like an idea, alright.. They sure don't
have to worry about me competing with them .. I'll just stay
out of that deal and read all about it..
