    Hello

I have been biking now for a couple of months , but I always seem to
end up at rivingon barn for a drink.

There must be other places to go to which are about 60-90 minutes
away, but I don't know where they are.

I am aware of devils bridge, but I have always gone there in a car
(hence up the motorway), can someone please give me a better biking
route to get there from North Manchester.

Also, where else can I take a trip to for a hot chocolate and a quick
    pee

    Thanks in advance

Now there seems to be a few northern types around manchester it may be
time to revive the MIRTTH runs, and make trips to other places.
ISTR devil's bridge is a bit more than 60 mins away, and tends to be a
plod magnet. The Cat n Fiddle can be the same, but there's other places
    around there.
I'm sure the above can be arranged.

    :

Peak District to the SW. A number of meeting spots inc Matlock Bath.

Ponderosa Cafe on the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen. Loads of possible
circular routes. Try to use B roads rather than the main A roads to avoid
    plod. http://www.ponderosacafe.co.uk/

Worrabout going sarf. The roads around/to Joderal(sp) bank , Macclesfield
and Alderley Edge are god for riding, as is Woodhead Pass (A628) going to
Sheffield. Closer to home, you've got ALL of Saddleworth and its environs.
Roads don't get much better than the those in t' moors
I usually end up in Southport for a coffee and lunch, and I'd hazaed a guess
that chocolate is available there too. Right on the sea front at a very bike
    friendly cafe.
Anywhere south of Watfrod Gap will just fine.

Head up M66 to clitheroe then through the trough of bowland(mitton,
whitewell, dunsop bridge then trough). as you come down the hill out the
trough take a right signposted to K-L. Or when you get to dunsop bridge
follow the road to the right and then out through slaidburn etc to
settle. From there you can head either back down through yorkshire and in
to Manc from the east or go across to the lakes or even head up to
Sedburgh and then across to Hawes etc. Lots of superb plod free roads
round this neck of the woods.

Yeah, but that was just your parents trying to "lose" you.

    How are the bruises?

Actually, I did manage to get detached from the parentals and siblings
on that trip, but unfortunately the rescue squad found me before I
turned into a modern day Mowgli.
Healing, slowly. My neck still aches from the bumper/Arai interface.
