Can you lot google and find me one that will charge the Benly's
    battery please?

I'm confused by the pages and pages of stuff that a search on the
    header brings up.

I just want a cheap charger to top up the new battery before I stick
    it in the bike.

Yes, I still haven't done it yet. I am the procrastination queen.

    Accumate
Not that cheap but 6v is relatively unusual now.

I went down to Motorists Discount quite a while ago and got a cheap one
that is switchable for 6/12v. Worth a look if you've got one near you.
You could borrow it but I don't think you're down my end.

  5. Argos: Challenge Xtreme 6/12V Intelligent Charger. 7500510 £30, but it
charges at 5.3 amps so probably too much...

Ah, this looks more like it, at Maplin:
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=27698&criteria=battery charger&doy=8m11
6V Sealed Lead-Acid Battery Charger £10. Code LJ92A. Charges at 500 mA, so
suitable for any small 6V lead-acid battery, I'd say. Don't worry about the
"sealed" bit if yours isn't, it will still work.

That involves leaving the house. There's horizontal rain out there.

    Lovely feedline.

I have no idea. It's all this electrickery stuff.
*ding* Thank you, that's the one. Derby store is out of stock so
    ordered via net.

There's a USB turntable on the same page...

Sorry if I'm being thick, but if that's the only reason you want one,
why not just fit the battery, bump start the bike & ride it for a few
    miles?

Because when I got the new battery I was told to give it a top up
charge. I asked on here if I really needed to and the consensus was
    'yes'.

Given I'm taking a 20 odd year old 200cc 6 volt electrics bike through
the snow and ice in January I figured I'd do it right for once.

Heh. I'm the young maiden of course. Some friends in London sing a
    lovely version of that.
    Noiselessly would be good.
