3pm it is then. Hopefully BBC2 will show it... :(
What, and miss the Toby and Julian commentary? And all because of the unique way in which BBC's funding won't pay for decent presenters...
It's true. I have to say that usually the main race suffers in the thrill stakes to the 125s and 250s. But this time it came up trumps throughout.
How bizarre. They all go back out on slicks, what on earth was the point in stopping it in the first place?
It was rather good wasn't it. I thought the 125s were fairly amazing this week but Moto GP topped it.
Particularly enjoyable was the open mic on McWilliams as he chatted to Hopkins and someone else. I guess they won't be doing that again!
During the stoppage, a Eurosport (or associate of) cameraman was walking down pit lane, and happened on McWilliams, Hopkins and A.N.Other. Julian and Toby shut up saying something like "Let's hear was Jeremy has to say". There was something mumbled, and then in his thick Oirish brogue something on the lines of "It's alright for you fuckers." Presumably referring to a wet part 2. Toby/Julian come back on quickly with supressed laughter saying that they knew they would need a bleep machine. I can't remember if they apologised I was pissing myself laughing.
[eurosport giggles] I also liked the moment where Toby Moody wandered back into the commentary box laughing having observed the Italian commentators lounging in their chairs, feet on the desk and the room thick with cigarette smoke. I think the quote was something like "Mr X only turned up at 11am even though the programme went on air at 10. You can't learn style like that, you have to be born with it." Sort of sums up the Italians for me.
