    Try Ubuntu. It's installed on everything I've thrown it at including my
    home Dell laptop which is notorious for disliking most other flavours
    of Linux.

    Well, I've finally found something that it didn't readily install on -
    my newly built AMD 64x2 didn't want to know about the 64bit version.
    First Alpha release of 7.04 does mostly work, though.

    Thanks Neal, I was despairing, really I was. Not much input from
    me lately, been in Brizzle the last three days on CMS business. No net in
    the Burwall's centre except for an access point in the conference room
    itself (installed temporarily by the Fyzzix peeps). :-(
