I assume that they'll also withdraw all aid from the country and call
    in any outstanding debts?

Personally I'd just do a snatch on 10 of their UK based diplomats and
lock them up until she's released.
It seems so easy doesn't it?

Why not? God will provide, given the evident piety of the country.

I couldn't give a flying **** which God they worship or if he helps
them in their time of need, all I want is for that **** in number 10
to stand up and tell them they're not getting anything from this
country for as long as he's in charge.

    Hog says...
Making a living, the same as Blaney is in US, the same as thousands of
foreign nationals are over here. I don't see a problem.

Like Blaney said, she broke the law in that country - imo ignorance of
the law is not a defence, no matter who ridiculous that law may seem to
    a westerner.

    take her standards.

Why should we inflict further suffering on some of the poorest people on
earth by withdrawing aid and support because of the actions of a fuckwit
    of a British national?

    Thankyou. The voice of reason.

You're in a muslim country and have to name a class teddy bear (what the
****?); you let the children choose the name (yeah, right) and they
choose Mohammed. How many fucking brain cells do you need to figure out
this might not be a good move? Maybe they should beat some sense into
    her.

I find it impossible to have any sympathy for the woman on the grounds
    of her colossal stupidity.

Also... IIRC isn't she connected with a church? She wouldn't by any
chance be trying to be a missionary would she?

    Define "tiny"?

Ok, you're right, on a corporate level, I control fiscal spend levels
higher than that, and at a local authority level, A. controls *much*
    more.

But it just strikes me as a little ungrateful on the part of the
Sudanese. Or rather (because the previous sentence has a little "white
burden" feel to it), why do we bother?

    "Reductio ad absurdum" alert.

She may have been stupid (and as per my OP, I have no sympathy for
her), but blaming the whole affair on her is like blaming the Great
    War on Gavrilo Princip. ;-)

I don't agree with Bonwick's suggestion. But, as a question to you: do
you genuinely believe that all laws in all countries are just and
    reasonable?

We could always help them backwards a millennium or so by nuking the
shit out of the country if that'd seem fairer?

Don't upset me or the Oliver Cromwell gets it.

Because they all look like they need a good square meal and they'd get
    that in a British jail.
