4-cylinder 2-strokes?

OK, are there any 4-pot strokers out there other than the RD500 and
    RG500?

Saw, or more importantly heard, a 4-pot stroker in Chelt today. Didn't
get close enough to see what it was before it disappeared at the lights.

2 exhausts came out of the seat, the other 2 on the RHS. Half the
fairing was off, and it initially looked like an NS400, but then there
    were too many pipes...

I suspect it was a special, but I want to make sure I've not missed
something obvious before I jump to that conclusion

There's a 666 based on an H1. Made by the bloke wot did the V12 Z2400.
He may have made more than one.

Didn't someone get a pic of a YPVS 700 on Pahnd Island?

Yup. There's a sidecar outfit with a TZ750 lump in it up in Lancs somewhere.
Malc, the chap who built it used to race it but it's actually road
registered. Heard/saw/drooled over it after a toy run one xmas.
<ding ding dingading ring ring *ding* crackle....ding...>
    I do so love strokers.

I've got a nice new Dennis Trollope Racing catalogue sitting here
trying to tempt me with a TZ750 but it's POA so I can't just ignore it
for being too expensive. I've also got a Harris catalogue but I didn't
even make it out of Ally Pally before caving in to temptation.

Well once the expansion bit is done and the pipe is down to the small bit
before the silencer then you don't need to worry too much about back
pressure anymore and can make bikes like this:

    http://www.ns400r.co.uk/ns400r/gallery/alenasvobodova4.jpg

It's an NS400, so still a 3-pot-er, but with the top exhaust split right
before the silencers to look more like a later NSR....[1]

[1] It's not the only one, but probably the best of the type

Just like that it was. But with the mid and lower fairing off

From the first glance I was telling Horse that it was an NS, and he had
to pay attention as he might not see another, but then the exhausts were
wrong so I just shut up.

If it sounded like three/four Honda Melodies then it was an NS400

I could own that, it's gorgeous. I'd never ride it cos it has the wrong
name on the tank, but it looks beautiful.

  11. If you could hear the background whine from the fucked gearbox, then it
    certainly was.

  12. Someone else's, unfortunately. It is going to be for sale soon, but he's
not saying what he wants for it at the moment.

Mine goes to the UK on 13th Feb to have the NS/RVF400 hybrid work done and I
should be back overe there to pick it up just before the EOSM (assumeing
    there is one...)

A brake light switch. Everyone has to have at least one thing from the
    Harris catalogue on their bike.

    Hiya Gyp...

Could have been an RG500, RG400, or RD500 - there are more modded versions
of botjh than there are standard these days...

Several pipe manufacturers (Nikon being one IIRC) do the two pipes on one
    side GP stylee thing....

Now, Chelt you say... I bought some RG400 panels from a guy in Cheltenham
that was building an RG400 special - RG400 mill in RGV250 frame (one of the
more common conversions) - I guess he may have finished it by now and that's
    what you saw....

Me - I'm trying to get my RG5 back to stock...

Just got to work out where I am going to get £337.00 from... maybe next year
    then )

He probably won't, but I guess if he's selling he must need the money. Any
    money.
I don't do that London. Not anymore. I lived there once (in 1990) and that
    was good, but enough.

Just to be sure I didn't like it anymore I went back twice (1998 and 2004)
to check it out and I still don't like it...

But I shall be near Saffron Walden, just up the M11 on, er, 20/21 Feb....
Ish. I think. Or in Derby on Friday 16th Feb... Ginge? You free that
night? Anyone else feel like comimg along and calling me "Une chemise de
    grande fille"?

I'm around, but in a no booze type way ATM, which means I might pop in
to town to take the piss, drink a slimline tonic, then dissapear again.

Or you can pop round for a cuppa if you like, save me the trip into
    town. :)

  20. No booze? What sort of catastrophic, life changing event could cause you to
be in a "no booze type way"??? And if you don't have any booze how will you
be able to face the kebab after?
Idle fucker. I drive 1000km and you can't be arsed to get the bus into
    town.

    Kids today, eh? :)
