I'm considering going to have a look at this RD350LC here in Ottawa.
It's a 1982 and the story I'm being told is that it needs the
electrics finished and the paint done. He also says that it had a $1000
engine rebuild last autumn but hasn't been used since the
reinstallation except for a few "warm up" engine runs.

It's obviously pre-YPVS with no cables and motors to check so,
presuming that it still runs and the engine is in decent shape, what
else should I be looking out for?

He's asking $500 (about £200), seem reasonable or am I looking at a
    potential horror story?

Looks pretty standard which is nice. No real horrors evident from the
limited view provided by the pics. As long as the engine is indeed sound, a
lick of paint and some wiring (pretty simple on an LC), and you'd have a
    very good deal for £200.
Buy it now, (assuming that it the owner is indeed the *rightful* owner and
that all frame/engine numbers match up with the paperwork).
Let us know how you get on.

  3. I've seen worse for 200 quid. Good news - it's almost all there, it's
almost all stock (bars are different, and the radiator surround,
grabrail and few odds and ends are missing) and it's still got standard
    pipes and centre stand.

Bad news - it's looking shabby!

I'd reckon it's definitely worth the money, yes. I still think it would
swallow another ukp900+ without blinking, but then you'd have a superb
    LC.

    Go for it.
