Heh.. I did that many miles, and got to the figure in the title. Maybe
you put it on the bike, not the swing arm?

  2. Nope. The clip broke off when I tried to put it on the brake pipe by the
rear caliper so I jammed it (nice and snug fit) between the brake pipe
and the swingarm. I was going rather slowly and rode round most of the
bumps as they're the seal popping type. The ones I didn't ride round I
"rode over" as in I was going so slowly I rode in and out of them.

I really only expected there to be a few hundred.

  3. It doesn't rhyme, but what about a boge-o-meter? You tape it to your
nose and then blow and pick your nose and the bog-o-meter rattles off on
    the vibrations.

On window lickers, you could use it as a twitch-o-meter.

Same here, but over 3400? Blimey, the roads round Brighton must be
shite. I wonder if it can be relied on as an indicator as to the
condition of the roads we ride on?

  6. Perhaps, but as I said before, I think this W-o-M does one step for
every two. Going faster would produce more bumps as well because the
    jolts would be bigger

  7. Or put it in your arse and have a dump-o-meter.

I went over to Wessons this afternoon [1] the B2124 is one of my
    favourite roads. I got TWA/minor tank slappers on a number of occasions;
twice due to the wear. It's one fun route *[1]*

[1] I'll make the tentative suggestion for a UKRM (South) summer ride.
    Say meet around:
    M23 Jcn 10 Copthorne[2] >
    B2028 Haywards Heath >
    B2112 Ditchling >
    B2116 Lewes >
    B2192 Ringmer >
    B2124 Golden Cross >
    A22 Lower Dicker >
    A267 Horam >
Wesson's Cafe and bike shop - A22 back to London for those who need to.

[2] Put Copthorne in Streemap; follow route and you'll see what I mean.

    *Bonus* No cameras.
