I'm in two minds about it. I love the music/history of the music of the
era, but it seems to me that Steve Coogan is thoroughly enjoying playing
himself and not the part of Tony Wilson. Apart from the sight of a
reasonable pair of tits in the back of a Transit, I'm a little
    disappointed.

Quite possibly. I missed out on living in Manchester, will my life ever
    be complete?

    I wasn't, and I still think it's fucking great.

Never was really that keen on the Mondays though.

I lived in Salford for a time in the late eighties then moved to
    Aberystwyth.

Consequentially I missed out on the whole thing as I was working shifts
and more interested in travelling around Stalinist Europe and having sex
    with East German girls.

Incidentally the girl who owned/ran the food concession with Fiona Allen
[1] at the Hacienda was yet another of my unrequited loves.

That aside I think I got the better deal.

    Of course it will, Lozzo.
You lived in Worskop[1] for a bit.

The whole Factory records thing was a little more than the rise and fall
    of everyone's favourite glam band.

As a tiny label it had a great deal of influence on the contemporary and
subsequent music scene. The Hacienda club (now flats) also had a huge
impact on popular culture of the day.

I'm not sure you're capable of understanding the 80s...
