I called them on Christmas Eve. They came same day.

These symptoms sound exactly like the reason I called BG out on
Christmas Eve. Stop and go, pressure drops. The nice man said there
was a valve gone on the exhaust outlet, that's why the pressure kept
dropping, and the thermistors had gone (stop and go). Min'e a Vaillant
    too, don't know what model.

Changed the little thingies in the divertor apparently but only worked
properly while he was there, (as they do)
Getting a free new pump soon, to trial, so will leave it until then.
Maybe he will give it a gander at the same time.

A local car dealership 'got a man in' (well two of them actually) to
change a gas fired water heater. They disconnected the natural gas
supply line but did not shut it off all the way or caused a leak
somewhere in the line. A void filled up with gas and found a ignition
source. Lots of damage to the building and the two plumbers had 3rd
degree burns. They are still in hospital.

  11. General note - when getting a man in for gas work, get a gas man and not
    a plumber.
