    A bloke here's got a V-Rod (back in the States). He's been riding a
year. His V-Rod's got 1500 miles on it. I've never seen him wearing
anything other than H-D branded clothing.

    From: http://www.triumph.co.uk/site/bikes/BikeSpec.cfm?BikeID=83

    Maximum Power 142PS (140bhp) at 5,750 rpm
    Maximum Torque 200Nm (147ft.lbf) at 2,500 rpm

Trouble is, the kit-car builders motor of choice is the 1300cc from
the Busa, which reliably knocks out, what, 160bhp, and is easily
    tuned, etc.

140bhp from 2300cc is just not worth it, is it (for kit-car purposes)
    - especially when you consider the weight of the Triumph engine.

I'm not sure about the bhp, but the torque is 2, counted in V-Rods...

I just proposed sitting on top of a deserted cliff watching the sun go
    down over the sea.

    Silly girl even said yes.

BHP about the same as a litre sports bike. Torque, on the other hand,
    is "****-loads".
