2005 Spring French Run

Dunno. It's hoped that the class will run for more than
just the first year, but it's all down to people signing
up for it.

At least if I do the same the season after, at least most
of the costs will have already been met.

I've been looking (in an idle fashion) at Hammerfest to Gibraltar
(Hammerfest for no other reason than it's a cool name).

Planning had reached the "Ferry to somewhere in Norway, ride to
Hammerfest, ride to Gibraltar, ride back to Malaga, stay in the in-laws
flat and laze on the beach for a couple of days, ride to Santander, get
ferry home" stage.

I'm thinking of all those nice new countries that have just joined the
EU.

 

Bloody Mapsource's detailed maps run out about halfway up Sweden, and
don't cover Norway at all.

Germany/Austria is their Eastern limit, too.

Not much help for doing a big trip.

I'm amazed how much bad feeling there is amongst the spaniards, about
Gibraltar. They claim to be treated like second class citizens when
visiting there for their cheap cigarettes.
