You went to a Moreton-in-Marsh Test Ride Weekend - small world innit.

Unfortunately Honda UK refuse to lend their test fleet anymore - so we
haven't been able to organise any more.

HUK weren't too happy with me when I took one of their VF500Fs back to
Bob King's with a 2 inch dia hole ground into the left hand lower
fairing panel. I wondered what the noise was as I went into the long
deep left hand bend at Milton Ernest with approx 110mph on the clock.

I loved that bike and it prompted me to buy a VF400F off a mate.

Shame they went with the old air-cooled lump rather than using the XR
    motor.

You mean you haven't worked out who I am?

    Haha.

We used to have such fun winding up the fuddy duddy old fuckers at the HOC
committee meetings. MAG membership was always a good topic.

I was the Sec. of the local branch that rode a Yamaha to lead the test ride
groups much to the chagrin of the Honda execs that turned up.

BTW, when are the lazy shower that replaced my wonderful tenure going to
    update their website?

Does it not (and I realise this question could be perceived by the
sensitive as being in rather poor taste) have rather too many strokes
    for your new incarnation?

As far as engines go then V configuration, whether it be two cylinders
for a motorcycle or 6 for other nameless forms of transport, is The One
True Way. However, it has been a long time since I have ridden a
stroker and I am really enjoying being able to anywhere and everywhere
absolutely flat out and not have to worry about me license. I wouldn't
    mind a bigger one.

I was never any good at remembering names - still aren't.
Hells teeth, I can't remember who I am most mornings.
Have we met at a FOT or *OSM?

It's still easy to wind up some of the HOC members - that's part of
the fun. The trouble with clubs is that (ususally) the only people who
offer to help are often exactly the sort of people that you don't want
    - worthy, but dull and staid. The 'Classic Secretary' <spit>
particularly shuld be put out to pasture

Heh, I was riding an XS750 when I was voted onto the Exec!

I have a hard enough time keeping on top of the national web pages
    without worrying about branch sites!

No. I don't think we've met since I handed over the Glos branch to Mike
    sometime in 2000.
    Is that still Dave Barton?

I'd rather say that you get the quality that you should expect from
    such a low budget bike.

The bike is built at Montesa-Honda factory, were high quality trial
bikes are built (at least the ones that use world champions like
    Lampkin and before him, Tarres)
