1900 kms up so still pretty tight...my 300km ride today netted 5.2L/100
km, cruising between 120-140km/h most the way with occasional touches to
180 (really didn't mean to on DD pnt w/end...I just wanted to pass the
    car, honestly officer ;-)

I get a few false neutrals on the 5-6 upchange...seems the Busa forums
all seem to quote a similar experience for new bikes. Thought I might
just have been me pussy-footing around, but even on a decent up-hill run
with firm pressure it seems to sort of miss contact against something
and not go into gear. Guess a few more thou K will tell.

I think now I can handle 3/4 of the power lol...I think I bought too
    much bike ;-)

Not that one buys a Busa and then worries about mileage... but that is
    rather good.

I've never noticed much of a gear change problem meself...

  3. ^^^ Wot 'e said

I found a false neutral every now and then. But I also found the lever
a little awkward. Not that I ever got off my arse and adjusted the
lever so my foot would go under it easier . . .

It never happened enough for me to worry about it and remember it when
the bike was back in the garage, I guess.

Except when one busts the budget getn bike in the first place ignoring
all the incidentals just to make the cash purchase price hehe. Now
[looking at rear Battlax] the costs of ownership are starting to bite,
    incl tickets!
True, it is like 1 or 2 times per ride...just reading alot about similar
experience on hayabusa.org. Didn't know I could adjust the lever...will
    take a look.

  6. No - nowhere near 1-2 times a ride. Maybe once every fortnight or so.
Once or twice a ride would have got me looking at it.

Maybe you can't adjust the lever either, I dunno, I never looked. I
just assumed you could (while I was riding along, never when I was off
    the bke looking at it).

You may find yourself very broke if you havent planned on regular tire
    changes.

It won't last. My new GSX1400 gave 320Kms out of the 1st tank, then
300, then 280, then 250. Enjoy the economy while it lasts...
