The Postie Bike Challenge is a goer again this year. Travelling from Brisbane
to Adelaide via the outback from October 3rd to 12th. 3000km of which approx
    1000km is unsealed road.

They have set a maximum number of bikes/riders but are still below that number
so they are still accepting entries.

It is run on a year to year basis and there is no guarantee that there will be
any future rides organised, so if you've been thinking about it, it may be
time to bite the bullet. Next year may be too late.

Bugger damn sheet and holy carp... I'd be keen on this one but will most
probably be on similar sized bikes in S.E. Asia at that time. However, I'll
pass this on to a few friends who've taken their posties around Tassie in
the past. They have both patience and iron buttocks!

Sounds like fun and I'll keep fingers crossed for next year - though I'll be
looking to covertly transplant my current mo-uh into the little CT frame...
    :)

    Cheers,
    Dave ZZR600 => ST2 (stolen) => '03 XX (potentially quick postie...)

    frame...
Hehe - I loike it. Now, I wonder what kinda rubber would be suitable for
30% offroad, 70% backroad surface on XX powered postie... Would be a bitch
    to corner.

Are you riding in the event this year?

    Cheers,
    Dave

You should watch out for those holy carp, dave. They'll preach at you and
    give you a nasty suck.

  7. Only 300km a day, bugger all really, wish they used another brand....Like
    this bit :

"You will be looking forward to a beer after our day on the sandy road!"

    "a" beer sounds like ONE , i would want at least 10 - 15 a night after
riding a little buzz box like that

Will be a sight though with a mighty big dust-tail 80 bikes zooming down a
    track
