I Have a buddy who has a 2002 wing and it overheats, not all the time,
but everytime going up mt. Washington, about three times before the
top. It has only overheated twice touring around on the local roads.
It has been back to the Honda dealer five times and they can’t find
it, but it overheats bad enough to boil antifreeze. If anyone has a
suggestion I am open to it. Thanks.

  2. Change the thermostat. If no better, then change the waterpump. I have seen
many a waterpump be bad and not leak.

Didn't Honda have a boat load of overheating problems,
along with cracking frames, on the Goldwing. Understa-
nding that the bike is probably beyond warranty, I would
still think that Honda would gratuitously correct all the
    previous units requested.

Plus, as a '02 model, and with a 3 year warranty, the
owner probably began this correction process well
    within the warranty period.

Alternatively, if I misunderstood, and the bike is still being
serviced under warranty campaign, but just can't seem
to get fixed - it sounds like a lemon law candidate.

I will try again. But Honda has done it twice, but maybe the third
    time is the charm. Thanks
