  1. Now that would do nicely. Problem is, would I be able to deal sensibly with
    someone called Martina Moser...?

4.5 years ago a little B road I use for going to work was in very good
condition, nice smooth ride apart from some joins in the old concrete
    undersurface.

Then someone decided it would be a good place to build a railway
maintenance yard off of it and loads of HGV and LGV traffic started to
use it. And other HGVs started to use it. The "No HGV" signs went missing
    from both ends.

The road's now a ruin along nearly all its length [1] with massive pot
holes forming and the sides of the road sinking drastically in a lot of
    places.

What about the extra damage caused to my car & bike? Wear and tear on
suspension, damaged alloys, tracking knocked out, ground down spoilers,
damaged tyres, worn supension bushes, knackered steering racks...?
    Too bloody right, see above.

Its the fault of the HGV drivers trying to use completely inappropriate
    roads in this case.

The companies of the hauliers should be fined enough for them to repair
the road in this case and then the HGV ban enforced properly.

  9. You're showing your age again, Ivan. That's not
    polite in mixed company.
